The BIOS is already the most recent and I didn't want to update the chipset, not knowing if this might cause some other issue in the system (SiS has a disclaimer when you download drivers that says (in a nutshell) it may not fix the problem and they're not responsible for any new problems that arise). My CPU is a major bottleneck in Guild Wars, because at full max settings and lowest possible settings I get the same 20 FPS. I imagine it would be far better on a computer with something more than a 1.8 GHZ celeron like I have. Then again it is just a PCI card anyways, and you cannot do much better with PCI. Card runs cool and stable while playing Guild Wars on max settings.Ĭons: It is NOT a high end card. Slight slowdown when there are 10 or so characters in a small space (enough room for 20 people physically). Which is the highest my monitor goes anyway. Plays Team Fortress 2 on mid-high graphics (only texture is on medium rest is on high). Had it up and running within a half hour of getting it. Not very loud (hard to tell in my house but I'm rather sure).
